We’re in for a traditional New England heat wave this week which will limit my running time. Bonus: I’ll have more time to dive into Vince Flynn’s The Last Man. The Mitch Rapp series revolves around a CIA trained assassin who has to save the world, over and over again. Stop me if you’ve heard this one. I really enjoyed the first two books of the series though after stumbling on the film version of American Assassin a couple of years ago. The plots are far fetched and the characters are stereotypes, but the action just moves, moves, moves, which is really all I ask of this genre.

I’ve also finished book one of The Nicomachean Ethics in preparation for Jared Henderson’s “How to read Aristotle’s Nicomachean Ethics” email course. Looking forward to seeing how that goes, and if I have the willpower to stick with it once he really gets into the weeds. Time will tell.
