“You are not your job, you’re not how much money you have in the bank. You are not the car you drive.”*

And I am more than a job search coach. Consider this a (re)introduction.

It is easy to be just one thing. Project Manager. Sales Executive. Job Seeker. But we’re a whole lot more than our job titles. I want to know people beyond the branding statements. Real conversation mixed among the business as usual.

I’ll go first.

I’m an English teacher and job search coach, but I also love talking about books, movies and music. For instance, I love all the hype around #EndGame, but it’s quieter stories like Jonathan Glazer’s UNDER THE SKIN with Scarlett Johansson that I really get into. Things that are quiet, purposefully slow, and a little unnerving are really my jam.

I have a newsletter that goes out a couple times a month where I talk about these kinds of things- along with a quick career or job search tip or two. It’s a little bit of all the things that make me, me. Teacher, job search coach, pop culture aficionado. If this sounds like your thing I’d love you to join the conversation. Link to a recent edition – if it’s your thing too, just click the subscribe button on the top left.

Your turn. What do you do, talk about, think about, when you’re not an accountant, IT manager or writer? DM me on Twitter, respond on Microblog, shoot me an email, whatever. I honestly want to know.

*Bonus points if you get the film reference.
